Lessons I Want to Teach My Future Children

For the purpose of starting this blog, I created a fun list of things I want to teach my future children. I will continually edit it, so this might be interesting.

• Correct Doctrine and to Love the Lord (Obviously)

• You can say no

• It’s okay to ask for help

• It’s okay to be exhausted

• If it’s really that bad, just come home

• Assess the situation

• What is a period? How do I handle it (from a girl's and a guy’s side)?

• Rejection is a sincere compliment

• You can value things

• You are a Son or Daughter of God.

• I have never met a problem that hasn’t been eased by mac and cheese

• Invest in those you love

• How to create a space you feel comfortable in

• Don’t Yuck my Yum (it’s okay not to like something, but don’t disrespect others because they do like it)

• Don’t apologize for being who you want to be

• You decide who you want to be

• In a healthy relationship, you both get to win

• How to notice detachment and what it means

• No matter what, I will always love you

• I am here to listen

• I am here to help

• Christ will multiply, but we have to bring something to him. (Loaves and fishes)

• Missionary bite- you have to try everything. If you don’t like it, respectfully decline.

• How to journal- talk about your day. Share a spiritual experience and share an appreciation or something you learned.
